Default tried evrything and still sputtering

my car sputters @ idle and when i accelerate. i looked through the forum b4 i posted this and tried wat i read. i cleaned the IACV and the throttle body and it still sputtered. so i decided to check the spark plugs and saw there was oil on the first three plugs. i changed the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals. oil is no longer getting in but my car still sputters. i seafoamed it earlier and it seemed to run fine. after all the smoked cleared i turned off the car for a while then i took it for a drive. the car still sputters during idle and when i accelerate. i drove for like 15 mins to see if it jus needed to run for a while but didnt help. what else should i check because im lost now. when i saw the oil in the tubes i was thinking head gasket? my brother sed maybe even a motor mount? some1 help! lol

Is the CEL ON?

Have you checked the distributor cap and rotor for wear and corrosion?

If you have a D15Z1 engine, you may want to check the EGR system.

The cap and rotor are pretty easy to inspect. Do you have an EGR system?

Sounds like a tps sensor problem too. I had mine go bad and the CEL didnt go on try unplugging that and running the car if it runs fine with the CEL light on that is more than likely the cause. The ecm will give the tps a constant value when its unplugged. and thus end the sputtering other than that it is probably cap and rotor.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system

What engine do you have?

That engine doesn't have an EGR system.

Inspect the distributor cap and rotor. When were the plug wires last replaced?
