Turbo...what next

Ok so after I get my turbo setup, I am going to need other pieces? What should i be upgrading I know the pistons and the rods should be upgraded, but what kind of ecu should i be going with the AEM EMS? And what things for the fuel system new rail? And what compression should the pistons be?

EMS is great if you can affordi it.

yeah you want to drop the bottom end out if you plan going any more boost than 'stock'. carillo rods and JE pistons should do you nicely.

ya like he said EMS is extreamly expensive
i'de look into a set of 9.0:1 up to prolly a max of 10:1 with the upper CR you'll have to be careful b/c it will be easier to detonate with a lower octane fuel.

im doin .20 je srp pistons with je rings, acl bearings arp head/main/rod bolts, eagle rods in a jdm b16a swapped into my 99 si.

if i were you i'de lookinto hondata s300 get a p28 ecu outta a 95 civic hatch an obd2-obd1 conversion harness then have hondata solder the new board into the p28, with hondata your lookin at about 8-900 with that u get datalogging and all the stuff you'd need to tune it if you have a laptop.

you'll need new injectors look for a set of DSM 450CC/min outta a 2nd gen, an AEM Fuel pressure reg.
the stock honda fuel lines and rail are good to almost 400 hp with those injectors look for a resistor box so that way you can use the injectors b/c they arent the same as stock injectors their a different type, if you can afford it look into a set of RC engineering injectors. an aftermarket fuel pump wouldnt be a bad idea either.

id say 9.5:1 would be optimum with aftermarket parts. i know theres a teggy out there (couple vids on streetfire) thats running 11.5:1 cr and 12psi of boost.

RE: Turbo...what next

wouldnt u need a very high octane fuel to run that IE like 100 or 110 lol i wouldnt do that i'de rather drop the compression and have more room while tuning on a lower octane

RE: Turbo...what next

no hes running high octane pump gas...93 last i heard...

RE: Turbo...what next

wow i'de be a lil worried lol but thast me i dont want to throw away a few thousand in parts and labor so i'll stay with 9:1 lol

RE: Turbo...what next

well 9.5 would be good if you dont go too high or get a good tune.

RE: Turbo...what next

and make sure you have enough fuel to support the pressure your goin to be running, the worst thing that would happen is you run outta fuel not literally but the max of the injectors and its goes lean...... and you figure it out lol what ive been doin is being over prepared with parets i usually wouldnt need to have, stuff like 700 or bigger injectors like im goin to be running i dont need them but i want the head room if i need it and so forth

Carillo rods are gonna run you $1000+. How much power can eagle H beams handle?
