Why do you think I said Iwas leaving it around 7-8 psi until I did the internals? So is the conencting rods and pistons enough for the engien to be able to handle 12 psi? What else could I change other than head studs?

with a very good tune and properly driven you could run 12 psi with just headstuds. but, not to be an *** but i think you will blow it up if you run more than 7 without pistons and rods

What would be the reason you think I would blow it up?

because t25's make a lot of torque and a lot of torque will put a lot of strain on your connecting rods, then eventually they will become weak after a while of punishment and will inevidably break.

Ok, what I meant to ask was why he said they could take probably 12psi but with me driving i would blow it after 7...

My t25 made 15x.xxx tq at the wheels at 9psi, I would not call that alot of tq. And to the dude asking for info you can run 12 psi on stock everything just fine. Just make sure to get it tuned by a pro or somebody with extensive knowledge. A 14b is not a large turbo, they come stock on a number of cars. I am going to have people come in and say differently but I am one of the few on this forum that have had the engine in question, on top of that I also have experience boosting the engine in question. So for you to take others advice is not say ill-advised but kinda dumb being I have worked with basicly the same exact setup as you.

i have also boosted the same enigne and have been for the last 2 years. if you get your engine dyno tuned by a good tuner and you drive the car with some respect for the engine you could run 12psi with just headstuds. the reason i think you will blow it up is cause you are inexperienced and that blows engines. thats how the people with experience get it by blowing engines and finding their limits
