turning over not starting

Default turning over not starting

hey guys ive been recently taking my interior apart and putting in new carpet and seats thats about all ive taking out.the wierd thing i go and crank my car yesterday and and ran for about 5 seconds and shut off now it just turns over like its not getting any fuel or spark one or the other.i heard people haveing fuel relay problems i dont think by taking out carpet that i did anything but it never had a problem before.it a 98 civic ex.anybody give me any points let me know thanks.

lolllll, put the carpet back in ahhaha.

check your timing. make sure your distributor cap is good. thats what happened to a friends corvette stingray. ummmm you could have problems with your fuses also. idk just look around

basically the same thing happened to me, just replace the Dizzy cap, or at least take it off see how the connections are.

put the carpet back in lol.yeah i cleaned the distrubuter cap and plugs.i replced fuel filter.im thinking its a fuel relay but im not sure where it even is

its really called the main relay to find it get under your dash on the drivers side its above the hood release its a grey or black plastic box with one 10 mm bolt and a plug with wires. but i would check everything first cause the main relay will run you about $85.

dont clean ur cap. u need to check the 4 lil silver things that stick out and see if theyre dull or not haha

When your turn your key on, do you hear the fuel pump prime for two seconds?
