Ok so I am doing a LS Vtec. I have had the head out at a machine shop to have the valve seals replaced, valves and seat re cut just to freshen them up, and head milled. When i got the head back and I check it over none of the valves where seating!! Ok so back to the machine shop, the guy told me to just run it and they will seat. Now way I could stick a piece of paper through some of the gaps. So he said he will go over it again. This should not have happened at all. The shop should not have given me the head back without checking it over! So 2 weeks goes by and my head that " just had some stuff in the valves" now needs new valve seats because they cant cut them any more. This was a virgin valve job on this head. I took the head apart before taking to be machined and the valves sealed fine. I wanted to freshen them up and do a 3 angle while it was apart. I am just so pissed about this!!!! They ****ed up my valve job did not even check it and now I will have to pay to fix their crappy work!! I will not be having them do any more work on my head. I will be taking it else where.

 

Ok they are going to fix the seats at no cost to me. They know they screwed up and I let them know I knew it.

 

Nice! at least they accepted the fact they messed up..!

 

Yeah it just sucks. They have had my head for a month now. I want Vtec already.
