i just swapped a gsr into a da but my vtec isnt kicking in i have a check engine light for coolant temp sensor and electronic load detector could any one ofs these make my vtec not kick in. i have wired the vtec up to the ecu and am not getting a code for the vtec so i dont know why it wont kick in

 

also my speedo is not hooked up could that be the problem also because i heard that vtec run off the speedo so if it thinks its stationary then it wont move but i have a cable speedo so will it matter if its cable or electrical
