what can i do to add hp to my 2003 civic lx coupe without turbo its too much money...i know cold air intake, but what else....how much hp can i get without turbo. i have 115 i want to add as much as possible

 

different cams, exhuast, port and polish the head

you would be going the na route and im not too familiar with that.

 

i know what exhuast is but what is that other stuff and how much are they and where

 

To achieve significant horsepower n/a, you'll have to do a lot of work, and it'll almost definitely end up costing you way more money in the long run. Food for thought..

 

Nitrous, high compression pistons, valves springs retainers, cams.

 

an agressive head port and new cam and springs will give that the kick in the pants it needs

 

a fully built engine, new pistons, rods, balancing everything, ported head, cam, adjusatble cam gear, ignition upgrades, quality exhaust and header. port matched intake manifold, larger throttle body, everything that is possible to do.

and then you need engine management such as hondata, crome, uberdata, aem ems, neptune, etc. and you would need to convert to obd1 whcih would make you no longer smog legal

 

You picked the wrong hobby if you want to go cheep.. but if you dont wanna do all this crazy stuff to the engine.. then i say swap a k20.... you could probably buy a real good turbo kit and get a real good tune and then some for the price of a k20 swap

 

um...maybe u can jus consider to get a turbo kit then jus spend all that money on jus ur engine.........IMO
