questions like this i'd say NOS is the way to go cheap and power when you need it.

500 to 750, and just all around good hp gains. low and top end, already have exhaust and just ordered intake

IMO i would save a little bit more money and turbo it cuz thats where youll start seeing some real gains. Otherwise you could just do intake/header/exhaust and take the couple horses youll get from that.

wouldnt i have to change out some **** or strengthen some things so it doesnt fall apart

no you just lose the header and intake. Do some research on turbos and see what you think.
