Post What can I do to a D17a1?

Ok so I have a 2003 Civic LX with a d17a1 motor. I have looked everywhere to see what the hell I can do to this motor. So people say that I can change out the intake manifold with the D16y7 intake manifold, but does it hook straight up or do i have to make mods for it to fit? Also the other thing Ive heard is taking the d17a2 vtech head and putting it on. And i def dont have the money for a k20 swap so u can rule that out!

I don't see why you'd wanna put a y7 intake on it. It's a horrible intake. The best you can do for that engine is a short ram intake and aftermarket exhaust. You CAN do the vtec mini-me swap with the a2 head. I'm not 100% what all is required on the 7th gen Civic though.

The Y7 intake is the ugliest thing honda ever made. Not to mention it wouldn't perform any better as your stock one.
