what to do
hey guys, i hydrolocked my crx a few weeks back, so im kind of looking for a replacement engine for it. it currently has a b16 in it and i was wondering a few questions. i've triied searching around but am finding no real answers.
1. when you hydrolock, what exactly happens?
2. i can pick up a b18c1 block pretty cheap if need be, so what parts could i use off my b16. if i did go this route could i swap heads or does hydrolocking destroy the head?
3. what are the bore and stroke of the b16 vs the b18? like could i use the same pistons (once again, im not sure what i broke) or are they a different size. im doing a compression test and probably pulling the motor on monday so i should have some results but i'd like to have a little more knowledge going into it.
