depends how much you wanna spend.

1.b16 swap = 2,000 everything needed(mounts if not included), require professional help with wiring and installing.

2.b18c1 aka GSR swap = 3,000-4,000 same as b16 maybe convert to obdII

3.V-tec head (easier) = 200-500 replace head with v-tec head off any d-series motor recommend y8 for more compression, wiring need.

4.h22 swap- = 2,000 convert obdII, also alot of wiring needed.

I'm having trouble finding a b16. What about a b16a?
I've found tons of them & they're JDM. Where on the net would you go to buy a motor?

b16 is a generalization. theres the b16a and the b16a2. the former is JDM, the latter USDM. if you can get a b16a...go for it. they usually have less miles on them than the USDM counterpart. and i think theres a bit more power in them. personally id rather go b18c or b18c1 and throw on a b16a2 head. but its up to you

hey man..
i dont know why no one has said b18c5, it's an awsome engine. type r and it gives u about 210 horses stock. boreit out and itll give you more with other upgrades as well..
also some advice, i wouldn go with the h22, (h series) because its a killer to installand u have to take out power steering and ac. not worth it.
the only thing about this b18c5-r is that its expensive, about 4000-5000, but its worth it.

if that would be too expensive, i would go with a gsr b18c1 swap or a b16a
(although not as power full)

iight good luk mang

b18c5 is good for an N/A car...but there are a lot of engines out there that are cheaper, easier to find, and better for boosting

it would be great if you dotn want a turbo

i think I'll go with the b16a its best for my price and I'll eventually put a turbo or a super charger on it.

what about a transmission. What kind of trans should i use with this motor?
