Default what upgrades?

i've been reading up on a new ECU for my SI, and decided on a hondata. in another post i read that you shouldnt put an ECU on a stock car, all i have is an exaust. so my question is what should i have done before i chip it? im getting a cold air intake from my cousin and i'm getting a header. the other thing is that i wanted to know which stuff i should get first (i.e. better spark plugs, injectors, or whatever)? thanks for any help you can give

if you can afford it get the hondata unit. you can still extract power on a bone stock engine with a tunable ecu and will allow you to tune your car for every bolt on you add from there on.

If u do get the hondata, it will still work. but do not get injectors unless it's turbo charged. If u do get injectors with ur exhaust, header and cold air intake mod, ur car will run too rich and mess up ur internals in ur engine. And for the spark plugs, You wont even notice the diff. no matter wut plugs u get.

Hondata is awesome, but unless you get a wideband and tune it yourself, you are gonna have to take it to a shop everytime you get a new mod, and around here that's $300+. I would say get your car close to where you want it to be with mods and then get it tuned, or learn to do it yourself.
