i was wondering what the best engine would be to get since my car is having transmission problems and my brother gave me the car and he says that i should get a new engine.

 

well first, what year is the civic? what model? hopefully 5 spd. a good option is the b16. more pricey than you d series models, but an all around winner. a b16a is really a poor mans type r motor, and is much much less expensive than a b18c or b16b. go with the b16. i used www.hmotorsonline.com

 

its a 97 honda civic hx and it is automatic i think that i am going to get a transmission swap maybe. yah thanks for the advise about the engine.
