Disc brakes in the rear
I was thinking about swapping my drums for disc brakes in the rear. Any good resources for parts and tips/tricks on the install. I'm not a complete newbie with a wrench. I've always changed my own brakes pads and rotors when they were worn on all my cars and trucks.
The problem that you'll run into, when installing discs in the place of drums, is that your braking balance will be off. Drums do not stop you as fast as a disc will, therefore from the factory, the braking bias will be to the rear (so that the drums stop you as fast as the discs). If/when that occurs, the back of the car wants to stop before the front, and that's no good. This can be corrected by using some sort of brake balance controler, I would imagine. But, unless your car is making some serious power, it wouldn't be worth the effort.
actually you can use the rear end from the 2002 si, as the rear suspension components will fit and cross over, as for the brake balance, the 1.7EL from canada has 4 wheel disk.. i would imagine you can use that master cylinder and abs unit, if you have abs, instead of figuring out which proportioning valve to get from the dealer
but basically you will need:
rear brake hoses
e-brake cables, if you want the e-brake
rotors
calipers
spindles
knuckles
i believe that is it, altho you are going to wanna get the 2002-2003 rear end parts unless you wanna have 5 lugs in the rear or convert

Do a rear disc swap from a 90-93 Integra with the trailing arms, e-brake lines, booster, and master cylinder. Then do a front rotor swap like so:
1) 93-96 Prelude VTEC rotors (Part No. 45251-SS0-A00)
2) 91-94 Accord Wagon Calipers (Part Nos. 45018-SM5-000RM and 45019-SM5-000RM)
3) Redrill the Prelude rotors to the 4x100 bolt pattern and use 4G EX knuckles and hubs.
THAT'S a brake upgrade.
