Default xenon for new civic

I have just bought a new civic, and I wish I could install a xenon kit. However, I was discouraged by Honda personnel. Does anyone have done it or have otherwise heard of any problem?

Well they discourage it because they want you to go back to them to service the headlights.... and HIDs are illegal! I have HIDs in all 3 of my cars but they all are shining through projector headlights, it controls the beam of light whereas your OEM housing sends light EVERYWHERE... if you get 6k or lower you'll be fine with the law.. I have 8k on my civic and they are BLUE.. I can send you pics of the lights if you want to see the color differences..

And for your xenon kit, DO NOT spend less than 200 bucks because they wont be quality... I spent between 280 and 400 for each kit... the civ was 280 but the benz and audi setups were alot more expensive because the cars have headlight sensors that say when the bulb is dying... and that is expensive to set up.
