07 Civic SI Brake Lever Silver Trim Replaceable?

Default 07 Civic SI Brake Lever Silver Trim Replaceable?
Somehow the silver trim on the top of the brake lever started bubbling badly, probably due to a chemical. It appears that it is a separate part that can be popped out and replaced but the parts dept. at the dealer are morons and have no clue. Can anyone help? Anyone with a service manual?
