1/4 mile upgrades
I'm slowly trying to set up my car for 1/4 mile cuz some of my friends go to tracks on the weekends to race. What parts do you think are most essential for building a good 1.4 mile car? I want to keep the car road friendly because it will also be the car i commute to work with. All i have on it right now is an AEM SRI. A numbered list of upgrades would be very helpful. (1 being most important and so on)
I also wanted everyone's opinion on what cat-back they prefered between the megan racing cat back, Magnaflow catback, invidia catback, hks hi-power catback, Greddy Ti-C, Greddy evo2.
Thanks alot everyone.

you could always use more power, but a slightly stiffer suspension, throw out some weight during track night, you could lose some weight yourself, lol. adjust your tire pressure to find your sweet spot. plus, if you just practice going down the track and practice your launches, you can easily shave a second or more off alone.

me and my friend are competing sorta lol. I don't know if i'll ever be able to beat him without major amounts of cash. He has a 2000 Chevy Camero that runs a 12.8-13.0 1/4 mile mildly upgraded (intake, headers, exhaust, upgraded pully gears)and i want to beat that time.

you wont touch that camaro without nos or boost for sure. You can get some carbon fiber parts, take out the backseat...ya know, reduce weight. Your basic "goodies" like i/h/e arent going to provide much in the 1/4.
