Did the 1.8L 140hp start in the 2006 or the 2007 models? Also,is that same 140hp standard in the DX and LX or is it limited to EX models?Used to be that EX's had more horse,I think.I am trying to see the all around advantages of going the extra $$ for an EX??? Thanks.

 

2006 models, and the r18 engine is standard across the line for the new civics except for the si, which uses a 197 hp k20a.

the reason people buy an ex is more luxuries/accessories.
