Default 142,000 on a 94 Civic DX... worth putting money into?

I bought my car used here in el paso just under a year ago and I'm just now starting to see some of the creativity you can put into these cars. Anyway I just ordered myself an AEM Intake and looking to customize the exhaust after thats installed. I'm starting to look at Bodykits to dress it up a little.... ones in the $300-400 range. Anyway, I'm kinda sketchy about putting money into a car with that many miles on it, thought I've come to understand just how long Civics can last when treated right. I'm pretty on top of it as far as its scheduled services... so I'm just wondering peoples input on what their limit of money would be investing in a car in that state... Thanks

Hey its up to you. 144k is nothing. I bet these civics could go 300k easily.

do it.... but if your gonna go with a body kit, $300-$400 range is gonna be a cheap kit! spend the extra $$ and get a good one! you will kick your self in the rear down the road if you don't!

my hatch has 198k on it and it run like brand new with no problem. i learned that miliage on a civic doesnt really mean much since if u do basic maintance ur civic should last for a long time with no problems

im aorund 190,000 and my car was boosted for over 2 years, she never gave up, building a motor for it now though. would of easily made it 300,000+ if you just do the basic maintanence

ya don't refer mileage to a honda. it doesn't matter... these mugs run forever as long as you take care of it properly!!! but mod it up bro!!!

i got my car with about 155k on the clock, been moding it for 2 1/2 years now and i recently rolled over 180k miles. still runs like a champ but it does show it's age now and then, gota replace my brake master cylinder along with drums/shoes now, $300 i'd rather spend elsewhere but its gotta be done[:'(]. its usually pretty minor stuff like that, im still planning on building her up even more once i get a new daily driver in a short while
