ok well im about to turn 16 and my dad wants to give me his 1989 civic hatch dx 5-speed.....itz the goldish color and it has a little smash on the drivers side....does this car have any potential? and it has 135000 miles.....any replies welcome

 

oh yeah, 135,000 miles is nothing, like i've posted before my old 90 civic sold with 240K miles on it and i sold it to my friend, it's got over 260K now... still going like a champ, i'd def look at a paint job though, personally i hate gold, no offense of course

 

im agree w/ u on the paint...thats the main reason y i dont want the car....but what the hell itz FREE....

i will try to get some pix up pretty soon....and the damage just needs to be poped out and the beading needs to be put on

 

THIS CAR HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL, I OWN A 90 HB 5-SPEED AND I HAVE A B16-A IN THAT THING AND I WOULDNT TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING. THAT THING PUTS SHAME TO MANY CARS, AND THOSE HB'S ARE BECOMING VERY POPULAR AMOUNG THE RACING WORLD AGAIN, BECAUSE THEY HANDLE SO WELL.

 

135k is NOTHING i retired my 1990 Civic Hatch in gold back in May (when i purchased my 2000 EX) and it had 210k on it. Now the biggest cosmetic mods that made the most difference for me was the 17' Rims and the 20% Tint all made the car look pretty hot.

 

Take it man, that car will be fun!
