Need some info from you guys. My son is thinking of buying a 1990 Hatchback EF/SI with 5 speed. He asked me to go look at it with him. I know very little about this car but it is supposed to be second owner. For the year it only is supposed to have 130 k miles. I asked my son is he sure it doesn't have 230 k. Anyway I know it is an old car and I am going into it as a father/son project. What I would like to know are what are the known weak spots or problem areas that I should look out for? We are going to look at it tonight and the owner said I could do a compression check on it. What else could I look for? Thanks for any help.

I forgot to mention that the car is supposed to be pretty much stock and hasn't been modified yet. That is a plus for me. I do not like to go behind someone and try and figure out what they did and whether the did it correctly.
