Default 1991 Civic Hatch STD.

Greetings,

There is a 99% chance I'm about to be the owner of my first Honda Civic. I just had a few questions before I pull the trigger.

It is the standard model hatch. It has 260,000 miles on it. According to the guy, it has a new clutch, new master cylinder, new tires, new starter, alternator, and timing belt within the last two years. He said he doesn't believe it burns much oil.

The bad: Drivers seat is torn up, windshield has some cracks, and the rear bumper is pushed in/tilted a bit. However, the paint is in quite good condition and has no rust or body damage.

I'm mainly buying this car for gas mileage. However, I am a little hesitant with the amount of miles it has. It is the original engine.

I talked him down to $800 dollars. Is this a good deal, or is it worth it? Is there anything I should look for when I test drive it tomorrow? Are these quite good on gas?

Thanks!
