i have a 1996 honda civic lx four door, and my car wont start?, im thinking a starter or something when i turn the key to on every thing comes on as it should then when i go to turn over the car it sounds like something spinning and no turning over? can any one help me with this?

 

If you hear the starter spinning under the hood but the engine doesn't turn it's either the starter itself or a broken tooth on the flywheel, which the starter engages. Take the starter off without turning the engine and you can see the teeth.
