Hi all,

I'm looking at used 2002 Civic EX and noticed that the foam insulation lining is only applied to one side ( the right ) of the trunk well. In addition, it appears in a few spots around the spare donut tire. I checked out a new 2005 EX last night and the foam insulation is on both side of the trunk area.

I am curious if the 2002 EX's only had the foam applied to one side or is this an indication of possible body work.

I have a 94 EX ( with 240K) that doesn't have any foam insulation in the trunk area.

Does anyone with a 2002 EX sedan know?

The car is clean on carfax.
