This will be my last car buying thread

So anyway, found 2 Honda Civics (non-SIs), 2 doors, 5spd, nice rims (maybe 17s) and no ricer exhaust (its stock). These two cars looked SWEEET. The mileage is kind of high (100k) tho but they were going for about $6k (rebuilt title). The cars were hit on the sides in a traffic accident and therefore sold by the insurance companies to a small dealership that fixes and repairs cars.

My mindset right now is, "well there Hondas, so what if they are rebuilt titles, they are freaken sweet looking Hondas!!".
However, im afraid that if I buy one of these two sweet looking Civics, that they will get stolen and parted out... and that means I'm out nearly $6k...
Why would theives want these Honda Civic engines?

Did Honda use the D-series/B-series engines on these cars that Honda racers desperately want so bad?

I still got to call my insurance and see how they would cover me if such a thing happen.


Everyone, give me some reasons to avoid buying one of these sweet *** 5spd Honda Civics.
And than, give me some reasons that will make me feel better about buying these cars.
BTW, of course, I am going to try to talk down the price.
