My son recently bought an 03 Si and the shifter **** twists on stick shift. Is this normal on these cars? The car shifts and runs great, but I never had shift knobthat twisted or adash mounted stick either. TIA for any answers.

 

Maybe something is loose behind the shifter

 

The ***** just twist on and off.
It's a righty tighty, left loosy.
I bet it you twisted it to the right some, then you'd have the problem solved.

*Edit* I also believe the boot need to be unattached, so just give the boot a nice pull down frojm the **** and there you go.
