Hey guys,

I might need to get my transmission replaced in my 98 civic and I just can't afford to keep putting money into this thing. It's getting to be a hassle and I'm probably going to just buy a new car.

I have a question...

Are the 2006 civics worth getting? I mean I know any civic is going to be an excellent car..but...Is there too much change and revamp done to it to make it not a good car to get?

Should I go with a remaining 2005 brand new on the lot?

Which would you recomend? What's your opinion on both?

06 LX Coupe Manual 5-spd. Best balance of price, looks, and function IMO

 

Depends if you wanna gamble or not. The 06 hasn't been out long enough to see exactly how many bugs are in it.
Also depends how much you wanna spend. Right now the o6's are coming in, which gives you leverage for negotiating a low price for an 05.

 

If you can get it, get a 06 si in mid december. I guarntee you are happy. If Not, neg and auto both have good ideas.

 

i got an 06 Civic EX coupe (5M) for $17,700 and it was an AWESOME deal.

the car has gone up in class because of it's build quality and content now. it's freaking amazing. seriously.

it's like a mini GT (grand touring) now because of the way it drives.

well...I really like the looks of the 2006 civic. I mean..it's a honda civic...it's got to be more reliable than other cars no matter what...BUT...it was revamped quite a bit and I don't want to have a car that breaks down..or the mph computer chip fails all the time..or...you know..I don't know if I want to take the chance..do you really think I'm going out on a limb if I get the new civic?

I really don't know what to do now. The new civic looks and feels and drives awesome (went out to test drive it) but..I want to get it because of the name and how long it will last...but if it's a completely different car and will only last 150,000 miles instead of a good 250,000 miles..then I'll pass on it...

What I want to get..is the LX Automatic Sedan..probably the dark blue..fully loaded..16 inch alloy wheels..

Why should I wait for the Si? Is it better built..what's the specs on that...what's the differences between that and an ex or lx....what's the price difference (etc)

I don't really want to learn how to drive a stick, so I'd like to stick with automatic..

What about the 05 civics?

I liked the '06 enough to sell my Trans Am. People think I'm crazy, but I actually enjoy driving it better. Occasionally I miss the power, but I like drivin' by the gas stations even more.

 

Dude, read this.

Trust me... he works in quality management, get the idea?.. if you need one now get the 05... you'll get a great deal. If you want an 06, wait for the 07's.
