Hey guys recently there is this kid at my school who got a 6th gen civic HX which has a D16y5. This kid is real cocky and wants to run my 5th gen EX which as you know has a D16Z6 (I also have short throw shifter, 2 1/4 inch catback exahust, 3" exhaust, header, CAI...hopefully goin boosted soon). The thing is though is that he claims that his civic has 230hp, which I think is bull. Known mods that he has are...alteezas lol, cat-back and some really loud obnoxious crackly fartcan..my question is without being boosted or any other kind of forced induction or doing an engine swap about how much money would he have had to drop to make the 115hp engine get to 230hp? Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I just wasnt sure where to put it.

 

he is full of it, even if he had that much power, and he still had the HX tranny you would take him if you were stock i am pretty sure, cause if my mind serves me right the HX has really long gears. but i dunno, i am really tired right now. so i could be wrong.

 

ya big fat BS only amount of hp is avaible out of a h23? maybe or a k20 or something in the k series.
