hello everyone i am new here and am looking for some info about these cars. i am looking at a 93 dx hatch like the subject says. it is owned by a girl i work with it has minor rust on the hatch around the licence plate as well as some on both rear quarter panels all minor. it has a new motor 4 years ago has 118,000 kilometers on it new head gasket, new ball joints new winter tires and an intake. the seats have some rips but nothing that cant be fixed. it also has a new cd deck. she is offering it to me for $1800 CAD asis ive had a good look at it and the only problem i see is that the rear wiper doesnt work. it seams like a good deal to me but i dont know much about civics so i dont know specific problem area's i should look out for. if anyone can help me out i would greatly appreciate it

i was thinking it was a good price i work with the girl who is selling it to me so i sure hope she wouldnt screw me over. as far as i know the rear wiper is the only non working part. does anyone know if that would affect the car in getting it certified?

 

I cant imagine how it would effect that, it is one of those things that come factory on some cars and since it is only an option, i can't see how. besides is a car car pass an inspection withouta pasenger side mirror it should be able to pass with out a working rear wiper motor

You could get a silencer, or if it is a cheap one, you could get a nicer one that is quietter too (evo2 and ws2 FTW!)
