95 vtec

Default 95 vtec

Will a leaking gasket in the vtec solenoid cause my car to be slower? why i ask is i parked next to a 93 lx non vtec car and i have the 95 vtec in mine both auto's and the 93 lx out ran me by alot.. this was awhile ago befor it started leaking really bad. just woundering if it was leaking alittle at that time cause it not to run vtec right?

your vtec probably isnt even kicking in, do you have a check engine light?

Nope i dont have a cel.. I use to be able to fill it when i first got the car but i let it sit for a year in half and now it dont seem to have that extra kick.. i also need to replace wire harnessrat got in my car during that time and chewed the wiring broke 2 little wires out of the 4 or 5 in it one of the orange plugs on passengers side why you dont let a car sit when you live in woods lol
