Default 98 Civic

Iam looking to buy a civic. i found this one and was wondering if it was a good deal or not? the ad on the internet said Looks and runs great! 4 cyl. auto trans. Excellent on gas! Garaged kept. Very clean interior and well maintained. Power everthing but seats. EXTRAS including Viper security system w/ push button start, Wings West polyurethane body kit, AEM short ram intake, exhaust, custom paint, Gianelli 17' rims, tinted windows, upgraded sound system. Gets about 28-30 city miles and about 32-34 highway miles. and he want 5,500.

how much do they want for it? If it was me, if i could get it for a reasonable price i'd get it, put the taillights and sideskirts back to OEM and go from there. Already has some nice mods, just some are too over the top IMO.

I think you can get a stock one for a cheaper price. The only thing I don't mind that is not stock when I buy an used car are the wheels. Even then I would only considered sizes close to stock rims.

Im pretty sure that car should be getting better mileage, If you do get it, consider doing a tuneup on it and maybe replacing some sensors. 5500 sounds a little high, see if you can get him to lower the price a little.
P.S. all those extra things dont add value to cars, they actually decrease the value)

Why would you want to buy someone else's creation?
Get a stock one, it will be cheaper.
You said his dad was selling it for his son?
His dad probably doesn't really even know what is all done to the car.
