yea to the original poster, the car should still be vtec because all (USDM) Ex and Si are vtec which means all Canadian Si and SiR are vtec.

If it isnt vtec he got ripped off

I think my question has something to do with 'dual vtec'? Versus standard vtec? I think it goes something like this but I'm not really sure:

The JDM SiR has vtec on both the intake and exhaust valves, but mine (USDM) only has it on the intake valves... Does this sound likely to anyone, or anyone know for sure. To reiterate I'm talking about 2002 JDM/CDN Si and/or SiR versus 2002 USDM Si.

Thanks for the approval on the threadjack.

So, what is the difference between the K20a3 and whatever the JDM '02 SiR has?

^+1 I have a K20a3 so I kinda feel obligated to defend my car's honor.
