I currently have a stock d16y8 with 135k on it. Instead of doing a swap to a b16 then boosting it(daily driver) I was just going to buy a built b16. Both routes will cost the same, but I'd prefer a N/A version with power over a stock engine with a turbo.

Im not looking on detail on builds, im looking for setups and numbers.

just wanna see what people have acomplished with a N/A build

inthezone, i know what you mean about stayingna. There is just something about beating someone na that feels SO MUCH better than beating them turbo.

Sorry to tell you this, but your not going to get a lot of power out of a D going N/A unless you go to extreme measures. Which is going to cost a lot of money and will need a lot of experienced extensive work done to it. Thats why you wont find too many people that have an all motor D. It would help to change the gearing in your transmission to have shorter gears for faster acceleration. If you go with a stage 2 cam you will have to upgrade the valvetrain, aswell as advance the timing. If you go this route and have the money, knowledge, and resources, I would like to see the end result.

That would be awesome

no one really gets more than 160hp out of na d series...a small turbo at 7 will give you 175-180ish with a lot more torque...hmm...

Check out a build thread by a member named Remoer, on D-series.org. He is currently doing an all motor build as well as Bigtuna.
Plus you can't forget Bisimoto, who races all motor d-series to excellent numbers using carbs and doing away with the FI system.
