^^^ Yeah I just called the local fire dept and told them that I was gonna be doing it and gave them my address. That way if they got a call for my house they would know not to send anyone unless I called them. They were fine with it and the fire chief even said something like "Yup, that there Seafoam is some right good stuff." LOL

 

+1. Ha I did the prelude in broad daylight the first time. Thank goodness for windy days. People were stopping along the street just to see what was up. Loved it

Thank god I live way out in the country with my parents when I'm home on break. I'll just put the car in my back yard and call up the three people including my great aunt and uncle that live anywere near one mile of me.

Plus half the local fire department and I are on a first name basis!

 

well it doesnt look like im in Kansas anymore.. im in chicago and there are MANY people out

 

so i just picked up the SeaFoam .. the liquid one and some AutoZone Engine Degreaser.. which one first

 

Do the Seafoam, then clean the engine bay. That way if you spill some its not a big deal. LOL

 

Make sure the area behind your exhaust is clear. When i did mine, my aunts minivan was behind my car and her whole hood and bumper got covered in carbon took awhile to clean off

 

ya im just gunna be doing it in my driveway.. but still just waiting for the engine to cool off.. duz it need to?

 

I don't thinkit really matters if your engine is hot or not, but I would think it would be better if the car was warm then the fluid would get into all the places it needs to clean it out.
