Default Anyone got a RWD civic?

Has anybody ever made a rear wheel drive civic? or 4WD?

That is a project I would like to undertake someday. As well as drop a small v8 or at least a v6 into it. Essentially the civic would just be a chasis with a much much different car underneath.

I almost went ahead with it on a Saturn awhile ago. But I didn't have funds then. But perhaps in the next year or so I might buy a new car and use my 08 civic for this project.

Any insight on this idea?

there was a guy on teamintegra i believe that dropped an h22 into the rear of his integra and thus made it a mid-engine, RWD. it was a pretty amazing project. i'll see if i can find the project page.

edit:

Found it... http://www.team-integra.net/forum/di...1&ThreadPage=1

That is bad ***. That is exactly what I want to do. I want to turn a car into a freakshow. I want to use my engineering degree . I'm no joke talking like 1000 hp civic. Just to say I did it .

Speaking of freakshows...

My question to you is, why in the hell would you do something like this to a brand new, fully waranteed car?!

Very nice. That is my goal. The ultimate sleeper I want people to say, that guy is insane. Or that's just wrong.

Yeah there were some older stock 4WD ones, I remember some civic wagons were. And a RWD civic can be done but with a lot of work. I saw an article about a 9 second, 550Rwhp, Rwd, rear engine del sol...it looked beast but I'm sure took a hell of a lot of work and money

That's the thing. When you go that route. It's questionable whether you can still call it a Honda. It's almost like building a car from the ground up. But without having to really fab the parts yourself. But I imagine there is a great sense of accomplishment when you blow someones doors off with your own blood and sweat.

I also plan on doing something along this route after I receive my engineering degree. But i want dual engines. Yes DUAL. it just sounds like fun. One in the hatch one in the engine bay. I was thinking b18a thats already going in stays in front and put the heavier h22 in the rear. Thus a mad awd civic
