When the headlights are turned on, I notice that all the details of the audio system are illuminated. However, the EJECT and LOAD buttons for the CD player only remain lit for a few seconds, then they fade out and are not visible. Also, the left corner of the CD slot remains lit for a few second, whereas the right corner remains lit. Also, the SCAN button fades a little too, The Scan letters: S & C are not as brightly lit as the A & N letters.

Is this normal??

It is the stock audio system. I only have the radio on when driving at night.

 

what yearis the car? model LX, DX, EX, Si, ......?

 

maybe gettin old, bulbs burning out and whatnot.

 

I bought this car used last week. It is a 2006 Civic EX with about 10,500 miles.
I just tested it by turning on the headlights (it is night-time now)and notice the LOAD button did not light up. Yesterday, I did the same test and the LOAD button lit up for a few seconds, then faded out.
