auto tranny fluid hole

What's up peoples, I just bought a 1994 honda civic LX 4dr automatic aka the bubble sedan aka the super beater of doom, since I my other car is totaled! So now I'm here! I've been doing maintenance things and all I have left is the auto tranny fluid and engine oil.

My question is that where do I fill the auto tranny fluid into after I drain it? Sorry for the newb question, I've never owned an automatic before....lol. Thanks in advance!

well the tranny stick sits right on top of the tranny.

this might help?

^Thanks. I think on the manual transmissions there are drain holes and filler holes but on the automatics there is only a drain hole. So I believe I need to pour it in the dipstick hole, I wanted to double check though. That's another thing that sucks about the automatic trannys is that you cannot just pour tranny fluid in there and let it over flow out of the filler hole (when it's full) you have to put in just the right amount or either drain the whole tranny again.

I'm about to change the tranny fluid right now so I can update this with the right info as soon as I find out...lol

Hey great that you are doing your own maintainance. With an automatic be sure to check the fluid level on the dipstick as there is no `full hole`as there is on a standard. Be sure the the engine is up to normal temp. for best level indication. And check the fluid level with the engine shut off . good luck.
