Default b16, b18 head swap

My friend has a LS b18, I have b16 A2 (vtech). I heard that swapping the head of a b18 to a b16 motor will give you higher compression. First, is this true, second, if it is then is that only for the gsr head or will it have the same effect with the LS motor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Default RE: b16, b18 head swap

putting the b16 head on the ls will raise the compression and add VTEC, but its not a simple drop on change. and the ls block isnt really made for that kind of strain, so longetivity is greatly compromised. oh, and a gsr block with a b16 head lowers the CR. just FYI.
