My d15 is injected, no carb here lol. As for the brakes, all I really would need are the rear disk housings and a proportioning valve right? Or a whole new master to compensate the fluid?

And I dont know the different between the P and ODB, in my classes, allI know is most of our scan tools read ODB cars easyer...

And I would go for a b18, but I dont have much income, I found a b16 (only engine, not even shipping) for 2 grand. Unless I can get an 18 cheaper, I wont even be getting the 16 for a whyle. And which version is better anyway? b16a, b or whatever else there is?

Well the B16b is the best as it is 190bhp but they are very expensive and hard to get hold of,so the next best option is a JDM B16a (170bhp) which are also hard to find and expensive which leaves a USDM B16a or B16a2 (both 160bhp) both probably cheaper and easier to find.
Well whether the ECU is ODB1 or ODB2 depends on the year of the engine, also the main difference is that the ODB1 is easier to tune.

So for me, I would be looking for a USDM B16a with an OBD1. Im assuming the OBD1 is older, thus making it a little more cost effective? One of my friends told me I would also needa shift linkage for it. Im also assuming that a shift linkage for a b16a would fit right into my DX right? 2dr Civic frames are all the same right?

So, so far I need:

Engine (b16a)
Transmission (do they varry?)
ECU (OBD1)
Wiring harness
Shift Linkage
and afuel pump. (off of what car or what kind?)

Thanks alot for the link! They got the same stuff as PasswordJDM but only cheaper! Looks like they can hook me up with a b18 with everything I need for under 2 grand, or even an H22 for a little over. Is an H22 worth it? I thought about it once, but I never actually looked into it...

WHen you buy your engine, just make sure it comes with an auto tranny, and an ECU made for an auto.

Good choice man,so you're going for the b18 redtop, nice.Oh and as for the h22 unless you have a really good setup it will ruin handling as it is so heavy and plus not much if any more power than a b18.You'll not be disappointed you got the best o all worlds.

I can tell u dont know much about those two swaps....cuz the H22 isnt that much heavier...

the only bad thing about the H22 is the fitment, but if you get the right mounts and everything then it will be a breeze...what are your goals? cuz u need to know that before pickin an engine...
