b18 6 speed
i just raced my car against a fully built k24 ek9 from like 60-150 .... it was pretty even i got the jump he was catching up and my LS tranny topped out in 5th gear at about 140 - 150ish (don't know exact speed the speedo only goes to 130 lol)and he shot ahead of me !!!
anybody know of a 6 speed that can go on the b18 motors????

i dont know to answer ur question, but I'm curious as to what tranny people are using to allow their civics to reach 160+.

the tranny's for the D-series are geared pretty high, a DX would reach 150+ in 5th gear before redlining (if it had the power to get that high that is), but i'm not sure about the b-series tranny's
heres a link to a thread i made with something i found that may be kinda useful, it has preloaded honda/acura tranny's and you can also see how changing the gearing would affect the speed at different rpm's in the different gears:

yea its the acura ls motor b18b1 ... and it did hit about 150... but i want more... at 60mph im already at 3k rpms which i don't like... is there a 6 speed conversion?

sorry, I have no idea about a 6 speed conversion, but I'd be mighty impressed to see one... in the mean time, depending on what size tires you have on right now, you can increase the tire size a bit which will change your overall gear ratio and give you a bit more top end (at the expense of slightly slower accel).... I am NOT recommending putting stupid 18" rims on... just slightly larger tires, but much increase will rub.... it would help some though and the difference would be enough that you would actually notice it.......

Boosted or not, that must have been one of the slowest races to 150 ever..
Stop driving that fast on the street, are you insane? I looked at your cardomain, and it appears that you've got stock/all season rubber on skinny *** steelies. I can almost gaurantee your tires are not rated for those speeds.

You shouldnt be going that fast. Think of the other drivers on the road. Also think about your own safety. At that speed you will more then likely die if you lose control. Thats why they put limiters on cars now so they stop at 110 because the tires are not rated for that speed meaning they will tear in half. Say you were to survive a crash what are you gonna do with no car and whos gonna insure you if they find out you were in a crash going 150mph.

wrong place to come and brag about your street race to 150, and then to say you want to go faster. you dont need to go faster than that because in a 1/4 you wont ever get past that, nor will you in any closed circuit track. stop being dumb before you end up killing yourself or someone else.

you people are retarted.... first off it was at 2 oclock on a highway with zero drivers and miles of open road so stfu....
