back box

hey guys gunna start usein this forum again

im toyin with the idea of gettin a back box and and induction kit for my p reg civic its a 1.4i
uk spec ect,i think ill get a back box first a magnex one probibly and take a pic of it when its fitted on

what im not to shure about is the induction kit thow what one would you guys sugest and
how the hell do i fit it :S theres a big black plastic airpipe that runns from the airfilter box to the driver side light ,im looking to replace it with a stainless steal one and get the best cold airintake possitioning i can anyhelp is appreciated thank

i recommend AEM for intake. I have their short ram intake and it's great. Get an AEM cold air intake with their "Dryflow" filter. Or you could get the AEM V2. I've heard it's amazing.

you just need to look for one that corresponds to the year of your vehicle.

hmm i checked the AEM site thay only seem to have 1.6 engin sizes :S ?

what year is your civic?

the fact that it's designed for the 1.6L might not matter... i had a civic with a 1.5L engine and i used the 1.6L version intake no problem. It all depends on the following:

As long as your throttle body is in the same spot as the 1.6L's throttle body and the engine bay has the same contours and shape it should work.

does your throttle body have that opening pointing up, or to the left while looking at the engine?

alright, so you need the same intake that a 96-00 USDM LX, DX, or CX would use. like this.

if i were you i would buy a cheap one on ebay like this and buy an AEM filter.
