i would say spray everything with de-greaser and hose it down,... but the way i did it, was a bottle of windex and alot of paper towels..yep just spray one part down at a time and give it a nice wiping,it worked really well for me and thats how i kept my bay looking so clean..i also used armoral wipes on all the hoses and it really brings back a black glossy look to them, oh yea what i would also do is paint your valve cover and mabey get a dress up kit,you can get these covers that go over your tubes that come in different sizes that look really good

ok so spray everything down.
but do i have to worry about getting spray in places that might hurt the functions of some sensors, etc?

holy crap thats super clean^^^ very nice..i did the same with some rustly metal, i took them off and sanded them down and painted them with black rust proof paint and i changed all the rusty bolts with new ones (there soo cheap)..this spring i got to finish doing all the rusty metal pieces (the ones i can take off) and paint my valve cover, right now its just soo dirty because of winter grime

the easy and beast thing to do is get 2 cans of engine degreaser at auto parts store/wallyworld/ect. i go to walmart they have big can of supertech degreaser only .97 cents ea. but yoiu have to be 18 LOL you have to show them your id because dumba$$ must huff it or somthing lol just think that is funny.
anyway. go to a car wash that has HOT watter is the key to a verry clean motor. or if you know someone that has one. spray the degreaser all over and in the nooks and cranys i also spray the botom of the hoods with the degreaser (if they are dirty) then i take a scrub brush and scrub the areas that you can get to. then turn the hot preshure washer on the high preshure soap seting and go to town. once clean to satisfaction rinse.be carefull not to put the tip tip to close to stickers or some of the valve covers that have the black coating will pill off. also try not to spray the dis.cap with to much force.
about the only thing that happenson hondas is sometimes some watter gets in the spark plug holes. you will know this happend because you car will stutter when you start it. if this happens just pop the wires of the valve cover and take a air gun and blow out the watter in the holes and the spark plug boots let it air out for a few pop em back in and you are good to go
hope this helps
