Bought New To Me Civic EX 2001
Just got I think a great deal on a 2001 civic ex 4dr 5 speed. Car only has 42K on it. Picket it up for $4000. I think it has original timing belt. I talked to the service tech and he said it could go 105,000 miles. What do you guys think?
I sold my 1992 Accord Ex with 182K for $2000. The accord I've owned since new and it was in good mechanically shape. It did have rust on both rear quarters.

I'll post pics by the weekend. My wife has to show me how to. I'm not very computer literate.
I must admit the 92 does seem to ride better but this seemed like to good a deal not to do it. We paid 16k for the 92 when new and sold it for 2k so it cost us less than $700 per year. As far as plans for the car I don't really have any. This is my daily driver. My play car is a 2004 corvette ZO6. I've owned it since new and when I put it away for the winter the odometer had just turned 13k.

I talked to the service tech before I picked the car up because I was concerned about the timing belt. He said I could go at least a couple of years. On vehicles that he has changed with low mileage but 7 or 8yrs he said the belts still looked fine. I wonder if there's an easy way to check it?
