Bumper Tear

Bumper Tear
I recently bought a 98 civic sedan. A couple days ago a shredded tire from a semi flew infront of me and hit my front bumper resulting in a minor 3 inch tear in the bumper and a flat tire. The tear isn't that noticable since its under the bumper so I'm not too worried about it. However I know it'll get worse in time. I'm wondering how this can be repaired cheaply. I was thinking about repairing it with some epoxy or possibly just buying a black front lip to cover it. What do you guys think? If epoxy is used what kind is best?

RE: Bumper Tear
depending on where the crack is, I either
A) wouldn't worry or bother to fix it, it's plastic, unless it's dragging on the group & scraping, chances are it won't get any worse
B) use some epoxy and some small pieces of aluminum to correct it, then get a front lip to cover it up

Plastic weld? is that even real?
Haha duct tape fixes everything

find someone who knows how to plastic weld

effectively, heat it up to the melting threshold and press it together...
some JB weld would work just as well, or really, any epoxy patching compound

RE: Bumper Tear
Thanks for your help guys. The tear is big enough to possibly get worse. I'll try try the jb weld fix and see how that goes. If that doesn't work then I guess its off to the body shop for me. Thanks again!
