First time

Hey everyone, I’m most likely buying my first Honda Civic swap in 2 days, maybe, depends.
I already asked him question already about it, it’s a 2000 Civic coupe ex. It was said to have
“ A fresh b20b swap less then 60 miles, with an integra ls tran rebuilt with stage 2 clutch, running in a p28 ecu.” Obviously I know most swap cars don’t have ps/ac. Just kinda nervous on buying a swap car for the first time and always have been a goal to have a swap car. cause I kinda need a car at the moment and don’t wanna get scam out of my pocket. I really love these cars and don’t wanna fix anything at the moment, but still able to drive a swap car.
I was wondering what I should expect or need to know before buying a swap civic? Or any other opinions ya have. Buying it for 2,500. Thank you!

 

A B20b is one of the cheapest and easily sourced engines that can be found and swapped into these cars. What I am saying is don't get too excited about a B20b with a LS trans. Sure, it's faster than a stock D series engine, but not by much. Unfortunately, we aren't able to guide you on questions without more information/pics to the car. Links/pics? Was the car converted from auto to manual? Clean title? Just wondering.

I'm interested in hearing how the trans was rebuilt. IIRC, a P28 ECU would end up throwing a CEL for the lack of VTEC equipped on a B20b. If you are looking for something reliable, I'm sorry to say that this may not be it.

Disclaimer, I know nothing about the car so I'm going by experience when I see "swapped EG/EK Civics".
