Default Call me Crazy, Thinking about takin the h22 out of the civic!

So A crazy Idea popped into my head the other day... you may have heard I recently got a 95 civic with a H22 in it. I love that car, it is pretty quick! But you may not know that I also have a 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT in excellent condition. I also love that car, except that It isn't that fast. Now what if I were to take the H22 and put it in the Fiero, with the Turbo in the spring that would be sweet! Granted this would take serious Modification, but what do you guys think, thoughts?

yeah, but what'll happen to the civic?

and the h22 swap in a mid/rear isn't a bad idea... I've been toying with the idea of throwing an h22 in my old fiat x-1/9 project car for a while now

IMO dont do it... to much modifying!!!!!!!!!!! i highly doubt your the jack of all trades and can modify frames, electrical harnesses and drive line angles and other custom parts to make everything bolt up.

so YES I WILL CALL YOU CRAZY FOR THINKING SO......... those fieros have enough problems stock.LOL they dont call it a fireball for nothing. every one ive seen in town seems to always be broken down and parked for a long time. i know ill never want one.

so just keep the civic as is or sell the civic as is. unless you want a better MPG vehicle then swap it out for a stock civic motor

I want to do it because I love the rear engine 2 seater sports car, and with a H22 I think it would be sweet! I have some hook ups with Fab shops in town, and yes I am not a Jack of all trades, haha, but I know people that can do things I don't know how to. Actually I've never had any problems with the fiero, its been pretty reliable, but I would rather have a honda motor. I'd probably put a B18 or another H22 back in the civic. it gets about 34mpg. And Yeah I agree with you, I think I am a little Crazy! haha

Well, I have decided to keep the H22 in the Civic. The civic will be tricked out in the spring instead of the Fiero. But not to a loss, I have grown quite fond of the little 5seater I may put a 3800 turbo in the Fiero sometime in the future, but I'm in no hurry.
