Default Can I fix uneven tire wear by myself?

My front 2 tires are wearing out unevenly. The inner (medial) ring is wearing out, while the outer ring (distal) still has much tread.

Can I fix this problem without going to a car mechanic?

I am not too sure but check out the Honda Civic tire and suspension forum, Suspension, Brakes, Tires & Wheels - HondaCivicForum.com. They can probably give you some pointers.

Unhappy More Than Likely Not

Looking like your going to need 2 new tires and a alignment...plus maybe more work with front end parts that may also be worn out..

Mr. IWon,
Thank you for your reply.

Rather than buying 2 new tires to replace my 2 front tires, can I not "turn out" the tires so that the outer ring will now be wearing out much more than the inner part? Won't this then make the wear more even through the tire?

You advised "maybe more work with front end parts that may also be worn out". What front end parts could also be affected?

You mentioned "alignment". I guess that's what I need to have even wear on tires. Can I easily align my tires? I have a home shop/garage with a hydraulic jack and many tools.
