The tires are too big, you need a 40 series tire, not a 45. It still might rub though after that. Next time do your research before you throw random stuff on your car.

Thats weird i have 17 in rims on my civic and i have like an 1 1/2in gap you should do some research and see if you were even able to. Then see if your shocks are good and another reason could be if it was lowered at all

yea you need 205/40/17 also check your suspension your shocks may be blown, next before you trade test it out first.

well with coilovers, thier for loweing the car and adjusting the ride height.. you definatly dont want to lower it with 17's, i have a hatch and i threw 17s on it and it rubbed like crazy... sold them the next day. i would just try to trade back man..

strange... my coupe has 17's, is SLAMMED, and doesnt rub at all. maybe worn out shocks? i have coilovers on the lowest setting. no rubby rubby.

my shocks should be pretty new and myne rubbed.. i had 45 series tires too.

it all depends on the rims offset, yes get 205/40/17. you will be fine.

let me correct the young one again (supersize)
coilovers will allow you to raise the car height higher than stock or will lower it

ive got 17's with a 40series and 2" drop and am nowhere near rubbing i actually want to go lower
