Car Alarms When trying to open the door and will not start
Hi,
Mine is 2001 Honda Civic Ex. Today when I tried to unlock the doors I didnot hear any beep sound which I used to hear normally. But, the lock lever in the doors came up. When open the door it starts alarming. If I try to start the engine it is not starting. The alarm stops after around 10 seconds I press the lock button in my remote. Mine is factory installed alarm system. The remote control has the Honda name in it. When I press the lock button I can hear the beep sound but when I press the unlock button I dont hear it.

hey soooo.. mine did the same thing...but mine is a 1998... it probably isnt related to anything. but go have your batery tested? cuz it did this for about 2 weeks till i stoped setting the alarm. and then my batery died right after that. and i had to get a new batery. so just go to like an auto zone or somthing. most places do it for free.
i could be compltly wrong but mine is working just fine after i changed the batery.

hahha wow i think that was the first time i have ever been right on this forum!!!!!! but what do you mean you were not able to figure out how to set the alarm off??
before or after the new batery?
cuz before i got a new batery i had to pop my hood and disconect the batery and it shut off

I had something kinda like that my neons would flicker on and off when i tried starting my car and my alarm would set and reset at the same time. I had a stock starter installed and a new battery and it stopped. Good thing it was something simple
