Lightbulb CHASSIS LUBE, what does this mean/

What get's performed in a CHASSIS LUBE, and what am i looking at for cost and time it takes to perform this service? When i go to get my new rims put on and front alignment, i think i should treat my car to a chassis lube, as i have never had this service done in the 2 years iv own the car.

is getting a chassis lube worth it?

its a service that auto shops perform, iv done them on my quad, but never on a car. I dont even know if a Civic need;s it?

If its any thing like my quad, they go around and use a grease gun and pump grease into the zerks.

i'm assuming its lubing of the bushings and joints and stuff, its not necessary and its just a way for the shop to rape u for more money

it's for bushings

It costs you $10 to do yourself the first time, and $0 to do it the next million (exaggeration) times. Buy a grease gun and a small bucket of silicone grease or even a tube of it. Also, buy a medium sized paintbrush and use it to spread the grease on the bushing. (it's hard to spread it with your fingers on many of the hard to reach bushings because it's hard to get your hands/fingers in there. Plus the paintbrush makes spreading it around 10X easier.

It is necessary, it extends the life of the bushings. Many cracked bushings could have been prevented by maintaining them properly.
